Increasingly stringent demands for material suitable for RDF and CSS production, the improved quality of separate waste collection and the increasing supply of traders are pushing the secondary solid fuel market to have rules and specifics unthinkable in past years.
In the world of recycling, innovation is the key to meeting the needs that have arisen as a result. Indeed, in this context, a grate in a slow shredder is certainly not a new concept. However, to date this type of accessory has carried with it a number of issues particularly felt by end users:
- Increased fuel consumption.
- Low hourly production.
- Increased wear and tear on shredding components, resulting in higher costs of routine operation.
- Damage resulting from the introduction of foreign and/or intractable bodies, (such as large iron or shims), with increased extraordinary operating costs.
And this is where Doppstadt and Cesaro Mac Import stand out; thanks to their knowledge of the market and their ongoing commitment to offering cutting-edge solutions, a new accessory has been designed and produced for the range of slow-rotating mobile shredders; a movable grid that overcomes the lmitations of a fixed grid system.
In an interview, Cesaro Mac Import delves into the reasons behind this innovative solution, the applications, features and availability of this grid, which is set to redefine industry standards.
What are the reasons that prompted Cesaro Mac Import and Doppstadt to study a new grid for the Inventhor range?
Currently, the market demands shredders with precise specifications, where hourly productivity, energy efficiency and value retention over time are not enough. Robustness, is no longer to be understood only as the size, weight and power of the shredder, but it is the ability to be tenacious on waste over time and be able to expel what is intractable before this can do damage and cause repair costs and prolonged plant downtime.
Cesaro Mac Import has always stood by its customers as a technology partner, and thanks to its experience, it anticipates new needs, such as the need for a mobile slow-rotating shredder with very high productivity that guarantees one-step shredding while providing reliability and durability.
What models does it apply to?
The grid is designed to apply to all Doppstadt shredders from the Inventhor range onwards (in models 9, 6 and 6.2). Due to the German manufacturer’s established policy of upgrading, improvements on the machines can also be applied to earlier series, providing maximum flexibility for our customers.
What are the features?
The features are many, but the one that differentiates it most from all the grates applied to shredders on the market is its “mobility” hence its name MO.BA. (Mobile Basket), which being integral with the comb and not attached to the frame of the shredder (like market competitors) ensures movement according to shredding needs. This ensures several benefits, first of all, the integrity of the machine during shredding is protected; in fact, the weight of the material is not discharged onto the structure of the machine with the danger of smashing or twisting, but it maintains the rigidity necessary to ensure a constant size and at the same time the possibility of opening in case of accidentally inserted intractable material. It also allows the machine to work continuously without damage and without continuous rotor reversals that reduce productivity.
Thanks to its mobility feature, the new patented grid can be easily assembled and disassembled in a short time according to the needs of the plant and work with different types of rotor. In addition, machine setup is extremely simple.
What materials is it designed for?
The screen is designed to effectively process different types of materials, even the most difficult ones, including spring mattresses, nets, long PVC sheets, tires, pipes, and bulky and industrial waste. Its mobility makes it an ideal tool for achieving even piece size, high productivity while keeping consumption low.
When will it be available to customers?
The grid is already available for all shredders being delivered this year and later for those already delivered with a special after-sales kit, easily assembled in no time, thus ensuring that all our customers have access to this innovative solution.
Let’s talk about the Inventhor range in general. What are the reasons for the success of this machine?
The Inventhor range has marked a turning point in terms of productivity, efficiency and emissions. Both the Inventhor 9 with its impressive grinding wheel and the Inventhor 6, a natural evolution of the DW 3060 shredder, have conquered the market thanks to their ability to guarantee excellent results on all types of material and in all working conditions.
The optimization of shredding by adjusting the number of rotor revolutions independent of those of the motor ensures the reduction of consumption with high production rates.
Also characteristic of the Inventhor series are the self-protecting elements of the rotor with the ejection of intriturable materials, the presence of the mobile shredding comb, and the ease of maintenance guaranteed by the wide accessibility of all elements.
