Gea Service Srl exemplifies how strategic collaboration with partners like Cesaro Mac Import can be a decisive factor for success in a complex and competitive industry like waste management. We discussed this with Cristiano Coscia, CEO of Gea Service Srl.
A Leader in Waste Management through Innovation and Sustainability
Founded in 2015, Gea Service Srl has quickly established itself as a leader in waste management by offering a value proposition centered on innovation and sustainability. The company supports Waste Treatment Plant Operators with tailored solutions that effectively integrate operational processes. Cristiano Coscia, CEO of Gea Service, shares insights into their mission, the challenges faced, and the strategic collaborations that have enabled the company to thrive in a competitive market.
An Integrated and Sustainable Approach to Waste Management
Gea Service Srl was created with a clear mission: to provide targeted and effective responses to the needs of Waste Treatment Plant Operators.
“Our mission is to simplify and integrate our clients’ processes by offering a range of services, from managing individual plants to overseeing complete operations,” Coscia explains. “We have developed a diversified service portfolio, collaborating with key entities and companies engaged in waste treatment. Our operations include managing waste-to-energy plants, recycling facilities for waste and biomass, and eco-centers.”
Strategic Collaboration with Cesaro Mac Import: A Pillar of Success
A cornerstone of Gea Service’s success is its partnership with Cesaro Mac Import, a leading supplier of machinery and technologies for waste treatment in Italy. This partnership has proven critical, not only for reliable and technologically advanced equipment but also for ongoing assistance and technical support provided by Cesaro Mac Import.
“I had the chance to work with Cesaro Mac Import during my previous professional experience,” recalls Coscia. “I was impressed by their organizational efficiency and the quality of their extraordinary maintenance services. This convinced me to include their equipment in our fleet when I started Gea Service.”
Today, Gea Service’s fleet includes seven Sennebogen excavators (models ranging from 817 to 821), three Doppstadt shredders (two slow-rotating and one fast-rotating), and two fixed Cesaro systems: a TMB (Mechanical Biological Treatment) plant and a compost refinement plant. This diverse range of equipment allows Gea Service to handle a wide variety of operations, from solid urban waste treatment to compost refinement.
Three more Sennebogen 817 loaders will soon join the fleet as part of a new collaboration with a major recycling company.
Continuous Investment in Technology and Innovation
Gea Service’s decision to invest in new equipment from Cesaro Mac Import was deliberate.
“We chose to purchase new Sennebogen models and Doppstadt shredders to meet the evolving challenges in our sector, such as the growing demand for rental services and the need to operate with greater efficiency and safety,” says Coscia.
“Our partnership with Cesaro Mac Import has enabled us to keep our fleet updated with the latest technological innovations. For instance, we are testing new technologies together to enhance operational safety, comfort, and user-friendliness of the machines. This approach allows us not only to optimize our internal processes but also to offer our clients more effective and safer services.”
He emphasizes the shift in viewing “equipment” as “service,” where aspects such as reliability, agreed delivery timelines, performance, fuel consumption, technological advancements, real-time activity monitoring, and timely post-sales management become critical.
A Partnership Built on Trust and Mutual Support
The collaboration with Cesaro Mac Import is based on shared values of reliability, innovation, and continuous support.
“For us, a supplier is not just a machinery vendor but a strategic partner who helps us grow and improve,” Coscia highlights. “With Cesaro Mac Import, we have found a partner always ready to assist us when needed, whether for extraordinary maintenance or specific technical optimizations.”
This relationship has enabled Gea Service to develop new competencies and respond more quickly to market demands. “Thanks to the quality of the equipment and the reliability of the support provided by Cesaro Mac Import, we can focus on our core business and expand our service offerings, including rental services—a segment where we are witnessing growing demand.”
Future Goals: Continuous Innovation and Sustainable Growth
Looking ahead, Gea Service sees its partnership with Cesaro Mac Import as a vital element of its growth strategy.
“In recent years, our efforts have led to significant annual growth, recognized nationally by Il Sole 24 Ore and internationally by The Financial Times,” Coscia notes. “We are committed to continuous improvement and innovation. We are investing in new machinery and technologies to enhance process efficiency and offer increasingly sustainable solutions to our clients. Our collaboration with Cesaro Mac Import is a fundamental part of this strategy.”
Gea Service plans to further expand its fleet and explore new opportunities in the waste management sector, always with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
“We are always looking for new perspectives and solutions to optimize the waste recycling process and improve our service offerings,” Coscia concludes.

Through innovation, a commitment to sustainability, and building strong and reliable partnerships, Gea Service is well-positioned to face future challenges and continue growing in the Italian and European markets.
